The Work of the Society
At the Low Country Cigar Society, service is not an obligation — it is a responsibility. Through our guiding principle, Culture to Service, we believe that true fellowship extends beyond gathering and tradition. It is expressed through the way we support veterans, mentor future leaders, uplift families, and strengthen our communities.

Veteran Support
Since Hinesville is connected to Fort Stewart, veteran support remains one of the strongest service pillars of the Society.
LCCS is committed to honoring veterans through appreciation events, care packages, sponsored meals, fellowship socials, partnerships with veteran nonprofits, and dedicated gatherings such as Veterans & Fellowship Night.

Mentorship for Young Men and Women
LCCS believes in becoming a positive presence for the next generation through mentorship, leadership, and personal development.
Through career mentorship, resume support, professional image workshops, life skills discussions, and leadership talks, the Society seeks to guide young men and women toward growth, discipline, and success.
This initiative reflects the Society’s values of leadership, respect, and professionalism.

Community Clean-Up Initiatives
Simple, visible, and powerful.
LCCS organizes community clean-up efforts through park cleanups, roadside cleanups, downtown Hinesville cleanups, and adopt-a-road or adopt-a-park programs.
These initiatives provide a visible example of service and show the community that the Society stands for more than fellowship.

Scholarship or Book Grant
This is one of the Society’s strongest long-term service initiatives.
LCCS is committed to investing in education by starting with practical and meaningful support such as:
- $250 Book Scholarship
- $500 Trade School Grant
- Support for a graduating senior
- Support for students connected to military families
Through the LCCS Culture to Service Scholarship, the Society seeks to create opportunities for growth, education, and future leadership.
This initiative reflects the Society’s commitment to building legacy through investment in the next generation.

First Responder Appreciation
LCCS honors the men and women who serve daily as police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and dispatchers.
Through appreciation lunches, coffee and breakfast drop-offs, thank-you certificates, and recognition ceremonies, the Society seeks to show gratitude for their service and sacrifice.

Food and Clothing Drives
Easy to organize and powerful in impact.
LCCS supports the community through food and clothing drives such as Thanksgiving food drives, winter coat drives, back-to-school supply drives, and hygiene kit distributions for shelters and families in need.
These efforts allow the Society to provide practical support where it is needed most.

Senior Citizen Outreach
This initiative reflects the Society’s values of maturity, respect, and honor.
LCCS supports senior citizens through visits to senior centers, sponsored meals, yard clean-up assistance, holiday gift baskets, and dedicated service days such as Respect the Elders Day.
This reinforces the Society’s commitment to honoring those who came before us.

Cigar Culture Education
Unique to the identity of LCCS, this initiative focuses on preserving and teaching the traditions of premium cigar culture.
Through cigar etiquette classes, responsible enjoyment sessions, pairing education, new smoker orientation, and lounge etiquette training, the Society serves as both steward and advisor within the cigar community.
This positions LCCS as protectors of the culture and its traditions.

Small Business Networking
LCCS is committed to supporting local professionals, entrepreneurs, and veteran-owned businesses.
Through monthly networking nights, business spotlights, vendor support events, and the development of a Members in Business Directory, the Society creates opportunities for growth, collaboration, and community partnership.
This includes partnerships with barbershops, lounges, restaurants, and other local businesses.

Annual Signature Service Event
Each year, near January 15, the Society hosts its annual signature service event:
LCCS Culture to Service Day
This event exists to honor the founding of the Society, serve the community, recognize members and partners, and present service awards.
It stands as a permanent tradition and the strongest annual expression of the Society’s guiding principle: Culture to Service.
